This Saturday, Peridance Contemporary Dance Company is holding their Benefit & Silent Auction at their home – the Peridance Capezio Center on East 13th Street. Proceeds were originally slated to support the Union Square non-profit dance company; but now in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, Peridance is spreading the love. 5% of all ticket sales will go to the Red Cross to provide relief to those devastated by the Hurricane. The event will be a great night of dance performances from both the Peridance Contemporary Dance Company and the Peridance Youth Ensemble. Naturally, the event will also include live music, hors d’oeuvres, and drinks for patrons. Peridance continues to be one of neighborhood’s great community arts institutions and friend of Union Square, providing free dance lessons and performances in Union Square Park this past year during Summer in the Square. So get out and support the arts!  Tickets are $50 in advance, jumping to $75 at the door.  Order tickets now.
