USP Crews Getting the Park in Tip-Top Shape for Spring

With warmer weather finally upon us, our crews are out in full force getting the park ready for spring! The tulips are in full bloom in the planters in and around Union Square Park. Yesterday, our landscaping crew was out reseeding and fertilizing the lawns to get them green and lush for the season. The team is also doing spring cleaning, removing weeds and dead plants and tuning up and repairing the irrigation system. The park will be looking new and fresh in no time!

As mentioned in an earlier post, work is also being done in the playground to replace the safety surface. Evelyn’s Playground should be open again in early May.

The Union Square Partnership invests in the ongoing maintenance and beautification of Union Square Park. Stop by soon to see our fresh, new look!
